check fridge is level with a small spirit level. Front to back and side to side. Test on 240 v making sure buttons are set right.Test for at least 3 hrs. Within 30 minutes boiler tube on back should get hot. Within 2 Hrs absorber coils on back of fridge should become warm. Within 3hrs cooling should start on evaporater inside fridge. Then allow to cool for thirty minutes and test on gas. Look for the same results at the same positions. If it works on gas but not on electrcity or vicaversa it indicates the cooling system is good but you have a problem with the gas system or the electrical system. Do not bother trying to test the 12v system because it draws too much wattage and will quickly drain the battery. The 12v system is designed to be connected directly to the electrics of the towing vehicle only when the caravan is being towed to maintain the temp. in the fridge during travel and therefore runs off the alternator of the towing vehicle.
