how can i fix my reebok model no rb1000.its stuck in 7th gear?

my exercise bike is stuck in 7th gear, i press the button to go down in gear but it is still making me cycle in 7th!! it makes a funny noise if its is in a gear below 7th like it is trying to change gear but can't.

I have taken mine apart and the gear mechanism seems faulty (the thing that pulls the cable) - does anyone know what the part number is?
