Mondeo lx Mk 4 -How do I replace a headlamp bulb?

I need to replace a full beam headlamp bulb in a 2003 2.0tdci LX Mondeo. The aperture hehind the plastic bulb housing is too small to prise away the casing so it looks like the whole heaDlamp casing will have to be removed. How do I do this?It is the nearside bulb.

Two screws hold the headlamp in place. Unscrew these, and gently take the lamp out leaving the cabling connected behind. The you get to remove the access panel and can change the bulbs. Taking the headlamp out is a 2 minute job and required a large flat head screwdriver only.
Replacing the headlamp is easy, put the end nearest the grill in place first, then the end nearest the wing. It might require some gentle tapping with your fist, but definitely no tools. Good Luck, but it is easy.

You need to remove the front grille by twisting the 2 plastic clips & then pulling them up. You should then be able to pull the grille away from the bumper (might take a bit of prising). Next, then headlamps. At the top of each headlight towards the back of th eunit you should see 2 metal strips that you can pull upwards. Pull the headlight forwards a bit then unclip the wiring harness. The headlight should then come straight out allowing you to change the bulbs. It sounds more tricky than it is...
