ran out of petrol now wont start ?

i ran out of petrol in my 98 megane scenic,put 15pounds worth in but now wont start.Have tried tow starting with no joy any ideas please

Probably sucked up dirt from the bottom of the tank, which is blocking the fuel line or injectors. You could try putting an air line on the engine end of the fuel line to blow the dirt out.
