I was using my jump drive yesterday on my computer when my son bumped it while it was inside of my laptop. Afterwards it does not work in my home computer nor my work computer. I have tried other jump drives and they work fine. Is there a way that I can retrieve the information that is on the disk? I am a teacher and a graduate student and all of my work is on this disk.

The connections from the USB plug are probably detatched from the circuit board. It would have to be soldered back on to get your information off of it. After that I would throw it out. It won`t be dependable.
I recomend looking in your area for any one who installs chips into video game consoles (Mods). These people are generally pretty good with soldering.
