I have mcculloch mac3227 gas string trimmer. It not firing?

When I pull the starter rope. It is not firing. I tried three different sparkplugs and couldn't get any to fire. I can't get the Clutch off the shaft so I can remove the cover to the ignition coil to see if it is bad. The clutch free wheel and I can't find a way to unscrew it from the shaft. I don't have a manual and the proper tools to do this. Any suggestion will help

Just looking at the module won't tell you it's "bad" but chances are if you've replaced the plug with a known working one then the module is the next step. You will need to lock the engine to undo the clutch- easiest way to do this without the correct tool is to obtain a length of recoil rope and gradually feed it into the spark plug hole- once there is enough in the bore it will stop the piston going over the stroke and lock it for you to undo the clutch etc.
