filling up with water?

My Bosch fills up with water even when it is not on? Why is this and is it expensive to repair the washing machine is 12 years old?

The cause of the problem is the inlet valve diaphragm has scale in the bleed hole.
If you take the valve apart, inside is a rubber disc with a hole in the centre and one halfway from the centre to the outer edge, the outer one probably has got blocked with scale.
Clear the hole and re-assemble and it should be OK

Probably a faulty inlet solenoid valve. Cheap part. Replace it.
