timing marks 1.25 zetec ford 1999

Hi John, there are no timing marks as such!! you need a special pin to insert into a bolt hole in the crankcase to lock the engine with #1 on TDC and then a locking bar to insert into the slots in the rear of the camshafts with these conditions satisfied the engine is timed! if you don't have the correct tools the locking pin can be substituted for a bolt of the same thread as the blanking plug and 38.24mm long and the locking bar from a piece of flat steel 5mm thick, the blanking plug is at the righthand rear side of the cylinder block. nige110162@hotmail.co.uk
