how can a fix my engine on my honda clr 125cc?

its a struggle to get my engine started and when it finally does it cuts out unless im constantly on the throttle

i would say the same thing , with the idle circuit jet sounds to be gummed up , also make sure there are no vac leaks where the carb connects to the intake .

have you change the exhaust or air to a performance exhaust or air filter ?

I would head for the 'slow running jet' get a manual strip the carb and clean the jets,back to the old school I reckon,and make sure you have some free play on the twistgrip,it should start with the throttle closed.
