The control has a 'hinge' which is just a point where the plastic is pressed very thin. It seems to break after a few uses. It doesn't work in any kangoo I've been in, including mine or any in scrap yards I've visited. You can reduce the airflow by pushing the baffle shut with a thin implement such as a pen throuh the vent grid.
