Peugeot Speedfight 2 100cc cuts out at high speeds...why?

When i accelerate to approx 50mph for longer than a few minutes the engine cuts out, i need to pull over wait a few seconds than re-start, has anyone experienced this or have any idea why it does this, it has recently had a new piston and rings and the piston has been run-in for 200+ miles. it has also had a new spark plug fitted.

thanks

Yep I've had the exact same problem with mine. The piston is seizing up in the bore, when it cools down it generally free's it's self up! Turned out to be oil starvation - try turning the oil pump up. Ignore the adjustment marks on the pump because when i lined them up the dam thing seized up when ever it go hot !(i.e. at high revs for any length of time.)
