Anti-Flood device on a AEG Dishwasher?

Have an older AEG Model 420 dishwasher. Avice on how to reset the anti-flood device please. Have cleared all waste pipe and filter blockages now but pump runs all the time and no water. Have removed all covers so have good access, just need to know where and how to reset the device.
Thanks Dave

It worked for mine which is Favorite 4040, stupidly put a bit of washing up liquid in machine so flooded, managed to tilt it and reset float so now works fine.

Empty the dishwasher, and get it into a position where it can be rocked from side to side. Then carefully push the dishwasher over sideways to about 45 degrees; if one way doesn't work, try pushing it to 45 degrees in the other directionThis should empty the vessel containing the float switch, which will re-set.

It worked on ours. After that we opened the door with the pump running and poured any water we wanted to dispose of straight into the pump. This wachine would be 11-12years old by now -I'm sure you can't do that with a processor contolled washer

Hi Motion

Did you manage to get this fixed - I have a similar problem and it would be great to know how to sort it.

Regards, Marc
