I own a Vauxhall Astra 1.4i 16V (2001, X Reg) and it is spluttering at 30 m.p.h, I have now been told it could be the Ignition Module, I hope this helps and sprts out your problem, I am now going to get my Ignition Module replaced on my Car, to see if it sorts out my problem!!!

Trouble here Jon is it could potentially be a number of different things! I had a Cavalier once with a similar problem and it turned out to be a cracked rubber hose between the air filter and the inlet manifold. Check all the hoses and pipes from the air filter back to the inlet manifold for any perishing, cracks or splits. If that's all good then perhaps it is the throttle sensor - you could always ask the Vauxhall parts people if that is a common failing. My local people at Dixons are always very helpful. Good luck.
