alarm keeps going off even when driving, had a new sounder fitted when car was 4 yrs old. car is now 8yrs old. do I need a new sounder every 4 yrs. sounder has its own battery so disconnecting main battery will not shut it up. neighbours love us.....help

if your car has alarm sensors on the rear quarter windows they can fail and cause faulse alarms, you need to remove rear iner trims to excess two black wires at the bottom of each window and remove off window and connect them together .if this stops problem quarter windows need replaceing or just leave wires connected i did and just used a blade fuse.

try make sure all the air vents in the car are all closed.

I have the same problem, except it doesn't go off when driving. Have disconnected main battery which does stop it going off. I also had a new sounder a few years ago, so hoping I don't need another one. I am trying to find out how to disconnect the alarm until I can afford to get it fixed
