Why wont my dryer turn ?

When switched on drum will not start to turn on its own. If door is opened and drum spun by hand, door shut quickely then drum keeps going.
Motor runs without belt on.

Sounds like you have a problem with the capacitor this kick starts the motor and its fitted to the right side of the motor its silver in colour. You will need an 8uf (uf stands for microfarad) capacitor.
