My Zanussi IZ161s washing jumps when it goes into a spin. I thought it may have been the shocks, so I changed these, but it still jumps around like an over weight ballerina. I don't think anything is loose, and both the springs are attached to the drum assembly. However, there seems to be a lot of movement in the drum.

Thanks ck, I thought it was the brushes at first too, so I checked them before I changed the shocks and they have plenty of wear in them.

The machine is level and all feet are on the floor (it hasn't moved for four years). I'll check the tacho as you suggested to see if it's in place.

check the motor brushes for wear and check the tacho on the back of the motor is secure.make sure machine is level and ALL the feet are on the floor.
