I have a upright frost free fridge freezer Zanussi ZX55/4 and the freezer appears to have stopped working, even when thermostat is set to max (6) it reaches the temperature and then drops, contents start to defrost, then freeze again. Please help, thanks.

it seems that you have a problem with the timer,heater.fan on your machine,best to call an engineer as their a number of things that could go wrong

This is an auto defrosting freezer and will look like its defrosting before refreezing.food in freezer should loose the white frost but the food should stay frozen (hard to the touch).it will then refreeze hard again.using it on max 6 can cause faults with the auto defrost system when used for long periods of time.should run at 3 to 4 but if it doesn't maintain the temp at this setting then you may have a true faulty system.
