Hotpoint Aquarius VTD00 dead?

My Hotpoint Aquarius VTD00 6kg tumbledryer is completely dead.
I have checked the obvious (socket, plug, fuse) and can't find any useful information on the Hotpoint website.
Any tips on how to go about diagnosing the problem?
