How can I fix my Hotpoint 9324 tumble dryer?

The belt on the dryer snapped. I've got the right part, but can't work out how it's supposed to run. I've got it around the drum etc, but there isn't enough tension in the belt to turn the drum. What I need is a diagram of how it's supposed to run.

There is a pair of jockey wheels that squeeze the belt. The belt goes around the drum and the motor spindle. The two jockey wheels go on the outside of the belt. They are just above the spindle and are behind the motor looking from the access panel.
