Ideal Response 120 boiler fault?

My response 120 boiler has ceased to operate.

It started Last week, the fuse blew, so I replaced it, the boiler worked for another week then the fuse blew again, so I replaced it. the bolier worked for another 3 days before stopping. the fuse has not blown again but the boiler will now not fire up, the power is on,the pressure is fine but it will just not fire up either when the central heating is turned on or when I turn on a hot tap.

clearly there is something majorly wrong.
Does anyone have any reccommendations for boiler repairs in the Leeds area.

many thanks

check low water pressure switch ? a= they can weep / leak on to overheatstat thus causing fuse to blow. b= low water pressure switch could also be blocked with sludge thus preventing closed electrical circuit

Hi Ady,
I've just had a very similar problem with our Response 120 this morning. The fuse had blown, and when I replaced it it only ran for 15mins before blowing again. Against my better judgement I tried another fuse and this one blew as soon as it made contact. Did you get anwhere with fixing your problem?
Other searches have turned up lots of problems for this boiler model, but yours was the first mention of the fuse blowing.

Does anyone else have any suggestions? I'll go through the MI later today to see if that sheds any light on the matter.

Cheers,
Dan
