Renault Laguna stalls when moving?

I have a 52 plate Laguna, that has v.recently started to stall, at first I thought it was my driving, but today driving at 30mph it cut out after changing down from 5th to 4th gear.

It does this at junctions and roundabouts sometimes. When I press the start button it starts up again really quickly. I've been told it's the TDC or the Idle Air Control Valve.

Can someone advise where I find these please and can i clean them myself?

hello
i had a similar problem ie cutting out when slowing down changing gear etc
in desperation and costing about a tenner
i put some comma fuel treatment in the fuel tank
then i sprayed some wd40 on the control box part of the accelertor pedal
then i removed the air filter and the black housing behind it you will need a torx screwdriver and a socket
i then put my finger in and gently pushed the butterfly valve open and sprayed a good amount of carb cleaner in
i them put it back together
then there is a tube that pushes in to the top of the carb i unclipped it and sprayed a good amount of cleaner in the tube and in the hole
plugged it back in and started the car
the engine turns over a few time then fires up
problem solved
hope it helps you
