I have a Toyota Lucida with a flashing oil level warning light?

the OIL LEVEL warning light is flashing on my Toyota lucida on an L plate the manual states 'go to dealer' i just want to know what this means and will it be expensive to repair it is a 2.2 ltr diesel with 75,000 on the clock can you help

A flashing oil level warning light means that the oil level is too high. Could be caused by over filling, fuel dilution or a faulty level switch. I would recommend checking the oil via the dipstick as a next step.
