My tumble dryer spins but does not heat?

I have a Whirlpool Inspirations Condenser, it turns as normal, but does not heat up at all.

My Creda had the same problem which I traced to the fact that the heating element ( which is a small package of elements inside the rear cover of the machine) had parted in two places
