I want to improve the performance of my 1.4 Peugeot 106 XS.
I need to know the best chip to put in it and which exhaust will give it a few mor bhp.
I'm gonna whack a K&N air filter in too to make it a bit quicker off the line, any suggestions?

Don't bother. You wouldn't notice even a 10% increase in performance. Performance air filter may make a nice noise, with poorer performance & less cleaning ability than a standard one.
Wait until you've grown up & can afford a decent car.

Hmm, maybe the I shouldn't have used the word performance. I don't take it out to track days or anything, I just like knowing that the ability to go fast is there if I ever want it. It's only a small car and I think people confuse it for a 1.1 sometimes so it's nice to "do them" at the lights.
You're probably right though, might as well just buy a new car rather than pi$$ money away on stats and things that only look good on paper.

difficult this one, other poster is right, if you make the car lighter , it will go faster, but every little helps and a filter and good exhaust will make a difference about 4/5 bhp.. u wont notice it , so... cam ,chip change the diff ratio.... spend a few grand then you need to stop the car.... bigger brakes.... on and on and on.my opinion..... save up and buy a factory fast car, corsa vxr saxo vts or something like that

exhaust and filter will add almost naff all to car performance.spend your money on a track day course.the fastest ,best driven car ,i have ever been in was a standard 1.6 montego ,driven by a man who could really drive,any half wit pratt can go fast in a striaght line.but i you as a average guy want performance,chuck everything that is not needed,ie rear seats,air bags,door panels,spare wheel,passengers,etc.how fast do u want to go,or are you just spouting hot air
