How to stop a leaking fuel tank?

The fuel tank on my Mccullogh chain saw leaks. Should I attempt to replace the tank or is there a sealer I can use to seal the inside and stop the leak?

ARALDITE or REINFORCED RESIN/DAVIDS P40. will work on outside.

You could replace the tank if you feel like stripping the whole saw apart (obviously this is the best solution).

On the other hand, you can get tank sealant - it's ised in classic bike restorations. Not sure how it performs on plastic tanks, and it wll cost about the same as a new tank.

hi don, i think it will be cheaper & easier in the long run to change the tank
