After a year of great service my TomTom suddenly won't turn on. (The charging light does shine when TomTom is plugged into the car charger.

I tried charging for 6 hours, pushing Reset for about 20 seconds, then pushing the On button for like 10 seconds.

There is a way to change the battery, but I hope to figure out whether a new battery will help before spending $20.00 to buy and try a new battery.

I have the same problem with a tomtom go 400. Should I replace the battery??

I have a similar problem but straight from the box.

Green light on, but unit does not activate. Power switch is very "soft" and indistinct so can't tell if the battery, switch or screen is defunct.

My Tom Tom is doing the same and ii have tried the same system restore with no joy.
Have you had any joy fixing it???
Im surfing now for a soluton.
