how to remove the half shalt from a vauxhall frontera to change wheel bearing i am unable to extract the half shaft ive tryed slide hammers heating it up also hitting with hammer but will not come out ive removed brakes and undone back plate but still unable to extract please reply a.s.a.p

These are a real pain to do,you need to get it red hot with oxy setteline,and use a very big and heavy slide hammer,heat it use the hammer,heat it again use the hammer do this till you get it out.then you need a floor press with approx 10 ton of pressure to get the wheel bearing and collet off then back on
