How can I fix my Samsung ER-4615?

I have changed the VAT rate successfully to 15% and got the till-roll print out, but when I do a transaction from amount to VAT button then to sub-total, the VAT button will not work.

Hi.
I would have thought you would have automatic tax setup on this machine. Do you normally have to press the VAT button during a sale? Usually it is calculated without touching the tax button.
