my car could not be tested for mot on emissions because (rear of engine vac hose )take it he mean the egr valve pipe the mot bloke said it is sucking in air if so were can i find this

further to last answer ,rubber pipe under coil pack goes onto small metal pipe which leads to front of engine back to rubber pipe again and onto pcv valve,under nearside end of exhaust manifold

i have a uk model ford escort 1.6 lx p reg (1996) the mot tester said the emissions did not get test because the rear of engine vac hose was sucking in air (he thinks it my have a split in it) iv tried locating the egr valve to locate the vac pipe that come out of it to the manafold but so far having no luck can some one help please (a pic would be really helpful) thanks
