CVT Nissan MIcra?

The CVT gearbox runs fine when cold. No light comes on or any warning. When the car reaches normal operating tempature the CVT start to lose power and you can not do more then 15MPH without the engine being run up on 5 to 6 revs. What can the problem be please advise.

Hi sounds very much like your secondry drum may have split.
A very common problem, however this is normally caused by the valvebody being worn and allowing excess oil pressure to enter the drum and cause it to split.
The problem gets worse when the car gets hot as the metal expands when it gets hot opening the gap up.
This would need confirming properly,ie driving with pressure gauges attached to confirm the problem.
