Hi, I have a hotpoint aquarius cdt40 tumble dryer whilst in use it blew the trip switch and now the dryer won't come on and the on / start button is depressed in and stuck.

Any idea how I can release the buttons?

take off the lid,2 screws at back.take off top front panel,2screws either end on top.carefully prise the plastic clips up holding the plasic panel in place and push buttons out.then put back 2gether. there is a wire with small plug which if you remove may find it easier.
