how can i fix my vauxhall tigra?

my vauxhall tigra has just started to judder when i accelerate. it mainly happens in 3rd 4th and 5th gears.
its like a fuel shortage problem as once the juddering has stopped the power returns.
there is plenty of fuel in the tank.
