bosch wff 2000 washer - the main drive motor never starts up in the cycle?

fills, pumps out, belt etc in place.

main drive motor has a 6 pin mutiplug input, all the leads brown. with a tester in place, and putting it through the cycle, only the 3rd one fromthe top ever becomes live.

These 6 brown leads must include pos and neg for different motor speeds in the cycle? Any ideas? anyone have a wiring diagram, so I can test the motor - put live input directly into to correct terminal.

Maybe a brush problem is the most likely, but I;d like tobe able to test first that it really doesn;t respond to live input.

Thanks.

Thanks very much for that - i checked the brushes, and they are really worn; the repair shop supplying new brushes suggested like you checking resistance in brush circuits - it's obvious once an electician says it, but it wasn't obvious to my non-electirician thinking. keith

connect a multimeter across the 2 motor brushes and see if you get a reading or remove them and check that they haven't worn out
