NO. usually only pushrods get bent on this engine ,you can straighten them in a viceif you remove rocker cover and rocker shaft, you will be able to remove pushrods and see which are bent. [if all valve stems are at nearly same height then valves aren,t bent]

Yes, and how many depends on how many valves their are per cylinder and how many cylinders the engine has, but you can count on two if the engine is a four cylinder one and has two valves per cylinder. I recently repaierd a friend's Escort 1.4L CVH and was lucky to get away with just one bent exhaust valve.
