There are 2 possibilities. Firstly, there is usually a connector under the driver's seat. This can be caught if recently cleaned or if the seat has been moved or even someone sitting in the back kicking their feet underneath the driver's seat. The other possibility is for you to take it to a volvo dealer who can put it on their computer and find out where the problem is. I recently had a faulty sensor which only cost £20. This is the average cost of most sensors. My local volvo dealer doesn't charge me unless I have the sensor replaced by them.
