How can I fix my Lexmark X1190 3-in-1 ?

My Lexmark X1190 won't print. The cartridges are new,but it only pushes out blank pages. Shortly before this occured it was printing great. Then it started printing things out with broken lines. I tried all of the repair options, including horizontal, remove tape,etc...but this failed to help. I went out and bought another set of cartridges and now it fails to do anything...except push blank pages through. The scanner works fine...it's just the printer. It's almost as if the ink heads are not touching the paper.
Any ideas? I called Lexmark and they basically refuse to help me as the warranty had expired. They told me to just go out and buy a new one...uh huh...go figure...lol

It's easy to figure...

To get you to buy it in the first place the manufacturers make them really cheaply and sell them even cheaper.

They all get their profits by selling ink cartridges for silly money. Some manufacturers even "fix" their machines so they will only work with their own cartridges - to keep the profit for themselves.

A repair will probably cost more than the device did in the first place. Take the hit and buy a new one.
