My Toro 521 snowblower starts then dies?

My Toro 521 snowthrower starts just fine, then quits after 30 seconds or so. It worked just fine last year and now it won't. The gas tank is full, everything appears OK, it starts, then shuts off.

drain gas,make sure fuel line and fuel filter are clean make sure choke is working properly, fill with new gas.good luck!

It sounds like you need to clean the carb. when you store a gas engine you should put stabil in the gas and shut the fuel valve off and run the engine untill it quits. that way there is no gas left in the carb to turn into varnish from evaporation.
