the fan on my warm air central heating system does not come on after it is supposed to ie after the gas unit is lit - i have removed the fan and had it checked out by an electrician who says that all is ok had the fan running plugged directly to power can anyone help?????

I've just had a similar problem with mine, I had to replace the motor though as the bearings had seized. The unit need to run with hardly any resistance, that problem is now rectified but a new problem has surfaced. The unit keeps stopping and starting before eventually running. I'm going to change the capacitor next to see if that helps, this could actually be the cause of your problem.
