Why has my cooker got one burner which has only tiny popping flames?

My cooker (Cannon Winchester) has 4 gas burners on the top. 3 of them work fine with good adjustable flames but one of them will now only produce a feeble flame and will almost never ignite from the sparker - I have to take a match to it to make it go at all.

Hi Glum,

May be a build up of grease in the little holes the gas/air mixture comes out of or some food debris underneath it. Take it off and give it a good seeing to. Poke it clean with one of those little wooden cocktail sticks and scrub it until it shines.
