no spark?

i have fitted a 96 engine to my 98 rover 200 but have no spark changed every thing car is turning over is there a differnce in the fly wheels

There is often a sensor on the flywheel which likely tells the ignition coil when to 'fire'. If your flywheel is different to the old one, the sensor may not be picking up any pulse - hence no spark.
