Are Creda using poor quality motors?

Our T620CW is 36 months old. The drum is not spinning, there is a buzzing sound and burning smell presumably coming from the motor. I have checked the heater and thermostatic switches which are fine. I have noticed other Creda owners with similar motor problems.

No, the belt is fine. It has never been overloaded. The drum was turning for about 1 minute or so then cutting out, but now it is as described in my original question.
