my hotpoint washer dryer is getting'stuck'on the spin program and is not pumping the water out,the lights keep flashing on and off

If it is not turning at all - not even slowly - it may be the drive belt has broken/come off. If it turns at slow speed but won't spin that points to the motor or speed control circuitry. The first problem is the easier to fix I suspect!
