My kids have both had a Advent KC550 laptop for christmas. On my laptop there is a switch to turn the wireless on, but on my kids there isnt a switch. I can see the light that should come on but i have no idea how to get it on. We have broad band and on my laptop it can find the router but the kids laptops cant find any router. Im assuming this is because the wireless is not turned on. Please can you help??

Some computers have a switch (as you have found out) some use a keystroke sequence) and some have a software utility. They vary between makes and as Advent is a DSG Own Brand it could have been made by anyone.

So you need to look in the manual that you got with the Laptops. It will tell you how to switch the Wireless on.
