Why is there water in my galaxy foot well?

A lot of water has appeared in the drivers side foot well of my X reg.Ford galaxy TDI can anybody suggest cause/remedy

ou must also check the drains in your sun roof (if you have one) when they get blocked the water goes into the car rather than into the mudguard

Most commonly this occurs when the bulkhead drain holes become blocked(due to leaves) causing the water to build up then slosh down into and through the heating system inlet,this is located under the wipers,you will need a new pollen/cabin filter as this is most likely soaked and if not replaced will cause misting of the windscreen.
