candy tumble dryer noise?

How can I fix the noise on my electronic candy condenser dryer which when rotates one way makes a horrendous noise but when drum goes into reverse the noise stops. The dryer is about 3 years old

Mine has the same fault, if you remove the rear galvanised metal cover, make sure you have unplugged from the mains first, you will see the fan on a shaft coming from the motor, you can wiggle this to detect the amount of play in the shaft showing the motor bearings are worn. A new unit is over £100. I bought an ex demo Whirlpool on e bay for not much more than a replacement motor, a much better and quieter machine.
