How can I fix my speedometer on my 2003 Ford Transit VH?

The speedo / odometer stopped working on my 2003 Ford Transit VH motor home .The cruise control will activate but wont set.The speedo was working ,then gave a couple of flicks and went back to zero.

I found out that the outer wire shield of the cruise control cable had shorted through to the inner cable. As the outer cable is earthed one end (intentionally) the signal from the gearbox sender was being cancelled. New piece of shielded cable fron Dick Smith installed and all OK

There is a pulse sensor on your left hand front wheel which supplies pulses for the speed meter amongst other things. Go to your local breakers these units usually last a lifetime. Change the sensor this will cure ALL your problems.
