VW Golf indicators?

My son's VW Golf indicator relay does not appear to be working, because his indicators do not come on, his 'warning light' on the fascia does not come on either.
He also does not have the 'four-way-flashers' available to use, in case of a breakdown. Quotes he has received are around £50 just to look at it!

Hi where can I find indicator relay box in car ? Front indicator stopped working and same side rear flashes too quickly !Other side works
Correctly.

if the relay fails to work, it is more than likely a wiring fault, so an auto electrician is advisable, but, looking at the car will not cost a thing, or a quote for doing it wont either... so the person who tryed charging you was ripping you off!!

i wouldn't pay £50 mate!.assuming all fuses/bulbs are ok. i would bet that the relay is at fault.this joins all the indicator circuits together and causes the clicking sound when the bulb flashes. if i were you try taking out the relay and refit. if still no good go to a scrap yard and have a good look for one. the car doesn't have to be the same model or make as your car so just have a good search.
