I have a pro form xp 550e. When I push the start button, the treadmill takes off incredibly fast ( you can't stay on the treadmill when this happens or you go flying). Then just like that it shuts off- the monitor goes black and then it lights back up. If you try to start it again, the same thing happens. I've also tried the reset button down below to no avail.

I know. It sucks. My proform 550e was doing the same thing. It is only two years old, and not heavily used. I had Sears come out to fix it. Had to pay $99 dollars, just for them to come out. Only to find that it is the display board. It would cost almost as much to have them replace it as it was for the new treadmill. So I now have a non-functioning big piece of junk that I need to dispose of. For that amount of money I feel I should have gotten more than two years of light use.
