potterton netaheat wont ignite?

I have a potterton netaheat boiler, it recently stopped working and so had a new pcb fitted by a corgi plumber.
Its now started to fail to re ignite after being on for some time.
its making all the right noises and is clicking over and over.

Any suggestions?

thanks in advance

Take the front panel off and check the gap between the end of the electrode and the metal hood, it should be about 12mm. Over time the electrode decays and the gap widens preventing the spark. Bend the metal hood slightly to get the gap right and put back together. This worked on my ancient Netaheat that seemed to be endlessly trying to relight.

The piezo ignition lead could be shorting so the spark isnt where it should be.Unfortunately the netaheat is an automatic ignition so you cant do a lot about it.I have found the wire usually shorts in the protective sheathing that runs around the back.Check that if you can.
