How can I fix my Hotpoint Wf840 1400 spin washing machine?

I have a problem that i get water leaking from the soap drawer when my machine gets to the last 21 mins of a 40 degree cycle (this is the rinse/spin cycle).

This problem however does not occur if I use the same 40 degree cycle on half load.

I have had an appliance engineer out to look at this problem and all he did was raise the front adjustable legs of the machine and lower the water pressure going into the machine at the hoses.

The machine is still leaking and any help or advice would be much appreciated.

sounds possibly like a water level related issue. there should be 2 settings on a pressure switch. 1 is to determine when the machine needs water (ie low level) and the other is to indicate high level. the machine should also have a timer to stop the machine constantly filling in the event that the level switch fails. these two things together will manage a set level. if the high level part of the switch is faulty, then the machine will default to the timer. therefore on half load there will be the same ammount of water put in as on full load, only the actual level will be lower.
